..Transponders.
BeChronized offers 4 different types of transponders that suit the needs of different sports. These transponders are explained on this page or alternatively
ProActive Transponder
The ProActive transponder is the smallest of the range and is intended for active sports use (road running/trithlon/cycling). It is small and light weight (15g, 25mm x 25mm x 9mm) so the athletes will hardly know the are wearing anything extra.
Its fully enclosed casing means it works perfectly ok in water, therefore triathlon or very wet road running events are no issue for this transponder.
This transponder can me mounted to the frame of a bicycle via tie straps or to an athlete by an ankle strap or small plastic pocket attached to the rear of the competition bib number.
ProRange Transponder
The ProRange transponder is slightly larger that the ProActive transponder and has an additional antenna. The reason for the antenna is so that the distance between the loop and the decoder can be much larger than that of the ProActive transponder.
This transponder is designed for use in Moto Cross, horse racing, jet skiing, canoe-kayak racing and may other sports and can be attached via simply tie straps.
Size: 30mm x 30mm x 10mm
Weight: 22 grams
Battery: Lithium
ProSpeed 100 & 250
The ProSpeed transponder range are designed for use for high speed motor sports. The transponder is much larger than that of the ProActive or ProRange, 45mm x 60mm x 35mm/78 grams, and is built to withstand crashes that can occur in motor sports.
The ProSpeed transponder can be attached to the vehicle by simple tie straps or a special transponder holder we can offer. This means the transponder will stay in its optimum position through the race and not move out of position during it.
The difference between the ProSpeed 100 and the ProSpeed 250 is the speed at which the partcipant is crossing the loop.
